In 2018, Black Status Social Network (BSSN) was created as a pro Black online community for Black people from all walks of life to simply just BE. To be themselves, free from all judgement and condemnation.

Our organization encourages Black mental health, provide safe spaces for Black sex positivity and connect, collaborate and provide services to Black people especially women, LGBTQ2S+ persons and other unrepresented communities.

In a short period of time, we managed to take our online community and turn it into a clothing brand where we would design and sell pieces that reflected everything Black. We hustled to get our designs worn by multiple celebrities and influencers from Toronto to worldwide including Tracy Moore, Aba and Preach, Keke Palmer and Brian Tyree Henry.

Additionally, we have also planned and hosted numerous events and initiatives including distribution of meals, socks and hygiene products to the less fortunate and unhoused, Black to school drives, brunches and so much more.

Currently we have expanded towards: Black Status Mental Health Network, Black Status Plant Network, Black Status Sex Network and Black Status Active Network. We have also tackled the entertainment market with music and original Black content including short films and scripted shows on our Black Status Television Network, where we launched our first scripted series.

Though we have done a whole lot, we can assure that this is just the beginning!
